PechaKucha 20X20 is a simple presentation format where people present 20 images, each for 20 seconds long on topics ranging from their latest creative projects to recent vacation photographs. The images advance automatically while you talk along about each image while they’re up.

In October 2015, the topic for the PechaKucha 20X20 Asheville was that there was no topic all. Participants could make a presentation on any subject of their choice or interest. And to help organize and promote this event in Asheville, Open Door Design Studio (ODDS) volunteered to create an advertising campaign for two sets of audience – the viewers and the participants.

The execution style of the advertising campaign was based on classic vintage style ads. Hence, the ideas, the illustrations, style of writing and the layouts in their entirety reflect the quintessential nature of the era gone by.
